Our Rosemary & Lavender clay mask is made with a blend of deeply cleansing yet extremely gentle ingredients to care for your skin, including -
French Green Clay - Packed with minerals such as oxides, magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, manganese, phosphorous, silicon, copper, and selenium, our green clay makes a wonderful addition to clay masks. Mineral clays naturally absorb oil and dirt, cleansing pores and providing a deep clean. They also improve circulation and exfoliate. Regular exfoliation is important for removing dead skin cells from the surface and making way for new, healthier skin to form. Also, removing dead skin cells can help to prevent blemishes.
Kaolin Clay - A soft mineral in the form of fine-grained white clay, which is refined. Used in Face Masks to absorb excess oils and to tone and exfoliate the skin.
Lavender - It is with good reason why lavender oil is one of the most favorite essential oils, as it has wonderful qualities and also smells great. It is a calming, relaxing oil, which combats stress and crisis, while the antiseptic properties helps with cold, flu and other ailments. It is excellent for asthma and migraines. Apart from that it supports female health and on the skin it has a healing effect, while preventing scarring and balancing the skin. The soothing and anti-inflammatory action of lavender oil will also have a balancing action on the skin and can be used for dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, boils, carbuncles and acne.
Rosemary -On the skin, it helps to ease congestion, puffiness and swelling and can also be used for acne, dermatitis and eczema, but a very popular use of this oil is the use is also in hair care products, it has a pronounced positive effect on the health of the hair and scalp. It increases the circulation and removal of toxins from the skin, helping clear impurities andbacteria from the surface and deeper layers of skin tissue.
Directions—Put a tablespoon full of clays in a small bowl and mix with a small amount of liquid (water, aloe vera gel, rosewater, milk), adding a teaspoon at a time & blend into a smooth paste.
To make your clay mask more exfoliating, you can add a teaspoon or two of ground almonds, sugar, or my favourite, ground rice, mixing well into the paste. Apply to freshly cleansed face, leave for 15—20 mins and rinse off. Moisturize well. (Our Facial Treatment oils are the perfect acompanyment)
Your clay facial mask will dry quite tight due to the high level of pure clays, you may notice a slight reddenning of the skin after use, this is normal as the clays boost circulation to help eliminate toxins. It should dissapear soon afterwards.
