Our Beautiful, handmade soap dishes are a joint venture between myself and the wonderful Jessica Cooper Ceramics, based in the rugged Weardale landscape, near the border between the wilds of Northumberland and Cumbria. Take a peep at her beautiful work here..http://www.jessicacooperceramics.com/
They are hand made completely from scratch, fired and glazed by the lovely Jessica who has been running her ceramics business with love and undying attention to detail at the very heart of everything she does.
I'm delighted with the way look and feel in your hands. The drainage holes release any water allowing the soap to dry out between uses. I also love the way they cup the soap to prevent it sitting in a pool of water and softening. This can be a common trait of handmade soaps as they retain all their natural *glycerine content so absorbing moisture comes as part and parcel of a handmade, cold processed soap.
*which is the precious ingredient in maintaining a softer more supple skin
I have limited stocks and the colours vary from a pale grey to earthy charcoal - see images above.
When you order a soap dish, please specify which number you'd prefer and I'll try to send you that as long as I have some left, If you choose to let the soap dish gods decide, I'll just pick one for you.
