Frankincense & Neroli Dry Clay Mask for Mature Skin

Facial skin is delicate and needs special care and attention, no matter what type you have.

I have found a simple yet thorough, cleansing routine with natural good quality ingredients works best for me, hopefully with the help of some of these products, it will work for you too x

Our Dry Clay masks are made with 100% natural and pure ingredients chosen for specific skin types, these masks allow you to tailor your skincare precisely to your skin's needs.

We make them dry so you can add the water or your chosen goodies, like pureed cucumber, honey, yoghurt, milk etc to them when you need to use them. This enables you to use a completely FRESH mask every time, prolonging their shelf life, meaning there is no need for preservatives.

Our Frankincense and Neroli clay mask is made with a blend of deeply cleansing yet extremely gentle ingredients to care for your skin, including -

 Moroccan Rhassoul Clay - A special type of clay that has been used since ancient times and comes from caves in the Atlas mountains. It has a cleansing effect, absorbs oil & dirt from the skin, hair & scalp without harming the structure of the skin’s natural fat layers. Excellent cleansing alternative for those with sensitive skin or who cannot use detergents. 

 Kaolin Clay - A soft mineral in the form of fine-grained white clay, which is refined. Used in Face Masks to absorb excess oils and to tone and exfoliate the skin.

Frankincense - The resin has been long used in churches and rituals as it causes the diaphragm to drop and so slows down and deepens the breathing. A good choice for meditations and intense work including rituals. Often considered to be protective and clears negativity. A very good choice for dry and mature skin to help keep wrinkles at bay in face and body products. Works well in creams, lotions, gels as well as wraps. 

Neroli - One of the ultimate oils for skin care. Very delicate and suited to more mature skin as it tones the skin and helps to reduce wrinkles. Helps with scars and stretch marks and it will not irritate when left on the face near the nose and eyes whilst helping thread veins. It helps with atrophying muscles and nervous spasms so ideal for massage lotions and oils pre sports or for muscles affected by MS or ME. Neroli balances sebum production so is a great choice for oily skin as well as dry skin. 

Directions—Put a tablespoon full of clays in a small bowl and mix with a small amount of liquid (water, rosewater, milk), adding a teaspoon at a time & blend into a smooth paste.

To make your clay mask more exfoliating, you can add a teaspoon or two of ground almonds, sugar, or my favourite, ground rice, mixing well into the paste. Apply to freshly cleansed face, leave for 15—20 mins and rinse off. Moisturize well. (Our Facial Treatment oils are the perfect acompanyment)

Your clay facial mask will dry quite tight due to the high level of pure clays, you may notice a slight reddenning of the skin after use, this is normal as the clays boost circulation to help eliminate toxins. It should dissapear soon afterwards.
